 There’s A Lot Of Love There - Dorit Kemsley Shares Update On Erika Jayne Friendship

Dorit Kemsley says her friendship with Erika Jayne is in a much better place after the explosive fallout that played out during a cast trip to Italy.

Speaking on SiriusXM's Page Six Radio while promoting her new memoir, Unburdened, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star revealed that communication between them has recently improved.

According to Kemsley, she initially reached out to Jayne regarding her legal challenges and received an immediate response. 

A few weeks later, Jayne contacted her, and the two discussed meeting in person.

“There’s a lot of love there,” Kemsley said. “There’s a lot of love, there’s a lot of history.”

Looking back on their friendship, she noted that disagreements between them had been rare before their highly publicized clash.

“Before that moment in Italy, Erika and I never had a cross word. We were always good,” she explained.

Kemsley admitted that emotions were running high at the time. She said the past few years had been difficult as she dealt with her separation from PK Kemsley and ongoing tensions with fellow cast member Kyle Richards.

She recalled feeling caught off guard by what happened in Italy, particularly because she believed progress had been made in repairing other strained relationships.

“I felt blindsided,” she said, comparing her reaction to the situation involving both Jayne and Richards.

According to Kemsley, everything seemed normal just hours before the confrontation. She said she had spent time with Jayne until the early hours of the morning and believed they were on good terms.

The following day, however, the atmosphere changed dramatically.

Kemsley said she felt as though she had been put in an uncomfortable situation, describing the confrontation as something that came unexpectedly.

The disagreement became one of the most talked-about moments of Season 15 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. What began as criticism over Kemsley arriving late to dinner quickly escalated into a deeply personal argument.

The fallout extended beyond the trip and resurfaced during the reunion episodes.

Last December, Richards revealed that both she and Jayne were no longer speaking with Kemsley following the dispute. At the time, Richards said repeated efforts to repair the friendship had not produced lasting results.
