 Kenyan lawyers boycott courts over alleged judicial corruption Kenyan lawyers staged a nationwide boycott of court proceedings on Wednesday to protest alleged judicial corruption and chronic delays. Cases in the East African nation take an average of two years to conclude, according to official records, with lawyers blaming graft and systemic inefficiencies. "The court boycott is going on in courts across the country, with many lawyers heeding the call," Charles Kanjama, the president of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), told reporters. However, the judiciary said that accountability mechanisms already exist through the Judicial Service Commission and the Office of the Judiciary Ombudsman, where complaints against judges and judicial officers can be lodged and investigated, according to a statement released prior to the boycott.  Tom Hanks shares marriage advice for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at 'Toy Story 5' premiere


At the Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles, Tom Hanks offered lighthearted marriage advice to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, who are preparing for their July wedding. Married to Rita Wilson for nearly four decades, Hanks joked that “the man must make the waffles on Sunday.” 


Swift, dazzling in a crystal‑embellished Erdem gown, also asked Hanks and Tim Allen to autograph a VHS copy of the original Toy Story, which Hanks quipped should have been accompanied by a VHS player so the signed item could be museum‑worthy.


According to Page Six, Swift and Kelce are set to wed on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The couple initially planned a smaller Rhode Island ceremony but decided to expand the guest list and go “all out.” 


Security measures for the event are reportedly extensive, with guests transported on blacked‑out buses and entering through multiple secure entrances.


The star‑studded guest list includes Zoë Kravitz, Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne, and Ed Sheeran, among others. 


The highly anticipated wedding marks a new chapter for Swift and Kelce, both 36, whose relationship has drawn widespread attention. 


With Hanks’s playful advice and the couple’s decision to celebrate in grand style, their nuptials are shaping up to be one of the year’s most talked‑about celebrity events.
