 Nigerian makes US Most Wanted List over $1m fraud A Nigerian, Onoriode Ezewu, has been named on the United States Department of Labour’s first-ever Most Wanted List over allegations of money laundering involving fraudulent unemployment benefit claims worth more than $1m. The department’s Office of Inspector General unveiled the list on its website on Wednesday, naming 16 fugitives wanted in cases involving alleged fraud, identity theft, money laundering, labour trafficking and other offences. According to the agency, the cases collectively involve more than $55m allegedly stolen from American taxpayers.  TROOPS RECOVER ARMS AND MOTORCYCLES IN SWIFT RAID OPERATION


In an effort to rid Delta State from criminal elements, troops of Headquarters 63 Brigade/Sector 1 Joint Task Force, South South Operation DELTA SAFE recovered  seven rifles and two motorcycles during a raid operation at Ibusa in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State. 


The operation was conducted on 4 June 2026, while acting on credible intelligence. The arms and motorcycles were discovered in an abandoned police station within Ibusa community.


The Commander, 63 Brigade, Brigadier General Moronfolu Abdulmoshood Shonibare, commended the troops for their resilience and professionalism. He charged them to sustain the current operational tempo and maintain relentless pressure on criminal elements.


Therefore, he reiterated on the formation’s unwavering commitment to denying criminals freedom of action in the area and warned individuals and groups harbouring arms or engaging in criminal activities will  face the full wrath of the law.
