Dick Van Dyke, 100, uses walker during rare outing with wife Arlene, 54

Legendary entertainer Dick Van Dyke was spotted in Los Angeles this week, enjoying a walk with his wife, Arlene Silver. The 100-year-old actor used a walker for support as the couple stopped by Starbucks during their outing.

Silver, 54, assisted her husband as he transitioned from their car to the walker, highlighting the pair’s close bond.

The couple has made only a handful of public appearances recently, including an April event at the opening of Malibu Urgent Care, where Van Dyke was seen dancing and chatting with guests.

Married since 2012, Van Dyke has often credited Silver with keeping him youthful, describing her as his soulmate and the love of his life. He has said their ongoing romance is the reason he has avoided becoming “a hermetic grouch.”

In interviews, Van Dyke has reflected on aging with humor and grace. He noted that Silver, being half his age, makes him feel decades younger.

The six-time Emmy winner also shared that he does not fear death, explaining that while many people worry about awareness during the process, he views it differently.

“Death doesn’t really frighten me,” he said, adding with characteristic optimism, “although I’d like a lot more life!”
