A sweet 7-year-old girl was attacked by a pack of dogs that left her with her scalp ripped off; requiring emergency surgery.

Authorities in Tehama County, California, were called to the scene of a heartbreaking and gruesome attack at approximately 12:30 p.m. on June 27th.

As first responders arrived at the scene, they discovered 7-year-old, Patricia, suffering from horrendous injuries after being attacked by multiple dogs.

According to official reports, Patricia had suffered significant injuries to both her scalp and legs. Authorities report that Patricia had been attacked by a pack of six dogs.

Patricia would ultimately be airlifted to an advanced trauma center for treatment of her extensive and severe injuries.

Her grandmother Monica Edminston described her injuries in a GoFundMe, saying, "The dogs ripped her scalp off and left her with numerous wounds." She continued by stating how strong and resilient little Patricia is and crediting her with inspiring everyone around her.

Thankfully, Patricia was released from the hospital on June 30th and is continuing to heal at home with her loved ones.

The six dogs believed to be responsible for the attack were seized and are in the custody of the Tehama County Animal Shelter.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and no arrests or citations have been announced at this point.

Stay strong, Patricia!
