 TROOPS OF OPERATION FANSAN YAMMA RESCUE KIDNAP VICTIMS, ARREST TERRORITS LOGISTICS SUPPLIERS WITH 10 MOTOR CYCLES Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have continued to sustain pressure on terrorists across the North West, recording significant operational successes on 19 and 20 July 2026 through the rescue of kidnapped victims, the disruption of a planned abduction, and the arrest of suspected terrorist logistics suppliers in separate operations conducted in Zamfara, Katsina and Kebbi States. On 20 July 2026, troops responded swiftly to a distress call from residents of Shiyan Abiyola in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State, where terrorists had attempted to abduct civilians from a residence. The prompt intervention of the troops forced the terrorists to abandon the operation and flee, leading to the successful rescue of several residents. BAUCHI POLICE ARREST 3 SUSPECTS OVER CULPABLE HOMICIDE FOLLOWING NAMING CEREMONY CLASH IN KIRFI LGA 


Police operatives in Bauchi, have arrested three suspects in connection with a case of criminal conspiracy, disturbance of public peace, and culpable homicide that occurred during a naming ceremony in Dosi Hamlet, Bara Village, Kirfi LGA.


Based on information received at Kirfi Division from the Officer in Charge of Bara Police Outpost, on 1st July, 2026 at about 1000hrs, an 80-years-old man, resident of Dosi Hamlet reported that on 30th June, 2026, he lodged a complaint regarding an incident that occurred on 25th June, 2026 at about 1830hrs.


It was reported that during a naming ceremony at Dosi Hamlet, youths from Tudun Sullubawa Hamlet had a misunderstandi

ng with youths of Dosi Hamlet.


In the process, one Sani Abacha Alhaji Jabbi, male, 27-years-old of Dosi Hamlet was violently attacked with cutlasses by youths from Tudun Sullubawa Hamlet. The victim was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Gombe State, for medical treatment, where he was later certified dead by a medical doctor.


Subsequently, police operatives visited the scene and photographs were taken for record purposes. Three suspects from Tudun Sullubawa Hamlet were covertly traced and arrested in connection with the crime. They are: Kano Alhaji Malam, male, 18-years-old, Ali Alhaji Malam, male, 17-years-old, and Shehu Alhaji Malam, male, 16-years-old.


Meanwhile, the corpse of the deceased had been  buried by his relatives in accordance with Islamic rites.


Furthermore, investigation was concluded at preliminary stage and the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, (SCID) Bauchi, for more detailed investigation and prosecution.


The Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+), has condemned the act and warned against the use of violence to settle disputes during social gatherings. He called on community and youth leaders to promote dialogue and peaceful coexistence for a safer Bauchi State.
