  EDO POLICE LAUNCH JOINT SECURITY INTERVENTION IN IYAHNOMO FOLLOWING COMMUNITY CLASH  The Edo State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that, following the viral video depicting incidents of violence and the complaints received from residents of lyanomo Community, the Command has commenced a coordinated joint security operation on 2Oth July, 2026, aimed at restoring peace and strengthening public confidence in the area. The operation involves personnel of the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), who were deployed to strategic locations within the community. The security presence is nota temporary measure; personnel will remain in the community for as long as necessary to maintain law and order while investigations continue to identify, arrest, and prosecute those responsible for the violence.
