 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. CENTER FOR MEDIA CONNECT (CMC) HONOURS AZUH ARINZE WITH PRESTIGIOUS MEDIA EXCELLENCE AWARD DURING BOOK SIGNING EVENT IN LAGOS


Lagos, Nigeria – The Center for Media Connect (CMC) has honoured Azuh Arinze, Publisher of YES International Magazine, with its prestigious Media Excellence Award in recognition of his exceptional contributions to journalism, publishing, media development, and literary excellence in Nigeria.


The award was presented by Ambassador Cornel Udofia, Founder of the Center for Media Connect (CMC), alongside members of the CMC Gladiators, during Azuh Arinze's book signing session held at the Roving Heights Bookstore.


The event attracted an impressive gathering of media executives, veteran journalists, publishers, authors, entertainment personalities, literary enthusiasts, and distinguished guests from across Nigeria's media and creative industries, all united in celebrating the remarkable achievements of one of the country's most respected media professionals.
