 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  DEFENCE MINISTRY CLARIFIES ALLOWANCE PAYMENTS TO HOUSE OFFICERS, INTERNS


The Ministry of Defence has dismissed reports alleging non-payment of allowances to House Officers and Interns in Armed Forces Reference Hospitals.


Permanent Secretary Richard Pheelangwah describes the claims as false and misleading, noting that payment of outstanding allowances is already underway.


He added that efforts are continuing to settle the remaining arrears as additional funds are released.


According to the Permanent Secretary, the delay stems from the absence of a budgetary provision for the allowances since January 2026, and not from any administrative failure by the Ministry.
