    Olukoyede Orders Withdrawal of Charges against Maryam Shehu,  Abubakar Shuraim Abdulhamad The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  Mr. Ola Olukoyede has compassionately ordered the withdrawal of charges preferred against Maryam Isah Shehu and  Abubakar Shuraim Abdulhamad, who were, on Thursday August 20, 2026 arraigned  before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court, Abuja ,   for alleged cybercrime and peddling malicious information against the Commission.  While the  Commission considered the arraignment of the two defendants for cyber stalking to be contrary to Section 24(2) (c) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc) Act, 2015 (As Amended) 2024 and punishable under Section 24 (2) (c) (ii) of the same Act, the Executive Chairman,  nonetheless,  considered the passionate pleas and  apologies  of Shehu’s father and appeals of well-meaning Nigerians ...

  Diddy’s prison release date moved up after reported inmate fight


Sean "Diddy" Combs' prison release date has been moved up for a third time amid reports he was involved in a physical altercation with a fellow inmate.


According to records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons viewed by Us on Wednesday, July 29, Diddy, 56, is now eligible for release on January 24, 2028.


"At this point, we do not have the necessary information to respond with any clarity," a spokesperson for Diddy told Us on Wednesday of the rescheduled release date.


Diddy, who is currently serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, was initially scheduled to be released on June 4, 2028. However, his release date has changed multiple times. US reported in March that the disgraced music mogul's release was moved up a month-and-a-half earlier, to April 25, 2028. Two months later, the date was changed to February 23, 2028.


News of Diddy's new release date comes less than a week after multiple outlets reported that the rapper was involved in an alleged altercation with another inmate. The alleged fight was reportedly broken up by prison staff. Diddy was reportedly moved to solitary confinement following the alleged incident.
