 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. Fake PFIPC DG, Adeyemi Arrested Following Court Warrant



A self-acclaimed Director-General of the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Adeniyi Adeyemi, has been arrested following an order issued by the Federal High Court in Abuja.


Adeyemi’s arrest came shortly after Justice Mohammed Umar issued a warrant for his arrest over matters relating to his alleged activities under the banner of the so-called Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), an entity reported to be non-existent and not recognized by the Federal Government.


The development marks a significant step in ongoing efforts by authorities to clamp down on individuals allegedly impersonating government officials and operating unauthorized organizations under the guise of federal institutions.


Although details surrounding the charges against Adeyemi were yet to be fully disclosed as of the time of filing this report, his arrest followed the court’s directive, with law enforcement officers moving swiftly to execute the warrant.


The case is expected to proceed before the Federal High Court, where further details are anticipated to emerge.
