  Cops crash massive LA street takeover, towing 100 cars and detaining hundreds Cops sprung a massive sting on alleged street-racing hooligans in South Los Angeles early Saturday — reportedly detaining hundreds and preparing to haul away scores of vehicles. The Los Angeles Police Department told The California Post that officers issued a tactical alert at 3:21 a.m. and were still working the scene hours later, as of 9 a.m. No details were immediately available on arrests or citations from the LAPD. Video from the scene showed dozens of officers surrounding a massive crowd as people wandered between cars trapped at the intersection of South Figueroa Street and West Alondra Boulevard. Tow trucks stood by, ready to pounce.  France Sponsors Mercenaries Destabilizing Sahel States: Nigerien President


Recent attackers at the Niamey airport are mercenaries on the payroll of France, the EU, or the West more generally, Abdourahamane Tiani told media, Sputnik reported.


France financed, trained, and equipped the January and June attacks on the airport, supplying assailants with French intelligence communication tools, he noted.


President Tiani also accused Paris of waging an information war, adding that before France's withdrawal from Niger, Emmanuel Macron aimed to overthrow the country's sovereign government for choosing the path of independence and good governance.
