Tanko Rossi Sabo has announced that he has returned a vehicle previously given to him by Michael Ayuba Auta, a former Southern Kaduna Senatorial aspirant.
In a Facebookpost, Sabo said the vehicle had been at the center of an alleged attack on his life, an incident he said generated widespread public debate and divided opinion.
According to him, with the vehicle now returned, those who defended or justified the alleged attack should reflect on their earlier positions.
Sabo also stated that he has forgiven those he described as the organizers of the alleged attack, citing his Christian faith as the basis for his decision.
He further claimed that several suspects were arrested in connection with the incident, confessions were obtained, apologies were offered, and a written undertaking was signed, assuring that similar acts would not be repeated against him or any law-abiding citizen.
He added that he declined any financial compensation, saying he believes that acts carried out in service to God are never in vain.
Engr. Michael Ayuba Auta has not publicly responded to Sabo's statement at the time of this report.
