One thing I’ve noticed since I came to Nigeria… some of the people we call “rich” in Cameroon might actually be considered poor here in Nigeria. 😂🇨🇲🇳🇬 You will hear some Cameroonians say: Life in Cameroon is better because the gap between the rich and poor is not too much. An average man lives better than an average man in Nigeria  But I think the problem is that we sometimes measure wealth differently. 😂 Those rich people in Cameroon are more like the average man in Nigeria  In Nigeria, you can see somebody with a house, two cars and serious money, yet the person will still say: Me? I’m just managing. 😭😂 Meanwhile, that same person might be considered very rich in Cameroon. I’ve actually met guys in Nigeria who consider themselves average or even poor, and I’m looking at them like: Oga, if you enter Cameroon with this your ‘poor’ lifestyle, they will give you a title! 😂😂 Some people we call rich back home would probably be considered ordinary here.  Imo Government Demolishes Illegal Structures Near IMSU After Student’s Fatal Car Accident

The Imo State Government has demolished illegal structures and suspected criminal hideouts around the front gate of Imo State University (IMSU) following the death of a 19-year-old student in a road accident.

The exercise was carried out by Nze Chinasa Nwaneri, Special Adviser to the Governor on Monitoring and Compliance, in collaboration with the Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) led by Frank Nkem. Officials said the operation aimed to restore environmental order, improve road safety and reclaim public spaces that had been illegally occupied for years.

Several shanties suspected of harbouring people involved in hard drug peddling and other criminal activities were among the structures dismantled. The demolition took place barely 24 hours after the fatal incident at the university’s front gate.

According to State Police Command spokesperson Henry Okoye, a Lexus ES 350 allegedly driven at excessive speed during an unauthorised street race struck 19-year-old Chibuike Friday, a student from Ebonyi State, as he attempted to cross the road. Another victim, Bright Ukwuoma, sustained injuries and is receiving treatment.

The driver, Dike Chibuike Micheal from Oguta, was arrested at the scene after police rescued him from an angry mob.

State Commissioner of Police Audu Garba Bosso condemned the incident, attributing it to reckless driving. He directed the State Traffic Department to conduct a thorough investigation and assured that the suspect would be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
