For years, a persistent rumor has circulated within the Nigerian entertainment space linking Fuji music legend Wasiu Alabi Ajibola, widely known as Pasuma, to the late veteran Yoruba actor Baba Agbako. Speculation and gossip have led many fans to believe that the late movie star was Pasuma's biological father. However, veteran Nollywood actress Idowu Philips, fondly called Iya Rainbow, has finally set the record straight.

Speaking in a recent interview, the highly respected actress dismissed the claims entirely, emphasizing that there is absolutely no blood relationship between the late actor and the Fuji icon. She expressed concern over how easily people peddle unverified stories and turn them into widely accepted narratives.

The Source of the Misunderstanding

According to Iya Rainbow, the rumor stems from a simple professional relationship that was completely misunderstood by the public. She revealed that Pasuma's late mother was actively involved in the Yoruba movie industry during her lifetime and worked closely under the leadership of the late Baba Agbako.

Because of this close working relationship, many people assumed a deeper, personal connection existed. Over time, this professional association was twisted into the false rumor that Baba Agbako fathered the musician. Iya Rainbow clarified that many veterans who were active during that era can easily testify that Pasuma's mother was simply one of the talented actresses who performed in Baba Agbako's theater group.

The beloved actress also recalled that Pasuma was already an adult when his mother introduced him to the entertainment circle. There was never any mystery or hidden secret regarding his family background, yet the rumors persisted despite the facts being clear to industry insiders.
