 ANAMBRA SECURITY: CP NNANNA URGES PRESIDENTS-GENERAL OF COMMUNITIES TO PRIORITISE SECURITY, STEP UP SUPPORT FOR FIGHT AGAINST CRIMINALITY The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, psc, mnips, has called on Presidents-General of communities across the State to place the security and wellbeing of their respective communities at the forefront of their leadership responsibilities. The Commissioner made the call on 4th September 2026 while receiving the Association of Presidents-General of Communities in the State. He noted that the Presidents-General occupy strategic positions in their respective communities and therefore have a crucial role to play in supporting the Police and other security agencies in the fight against criminality. LeBron James has officially committed to the Philadelphia 76ers, signing a two‑year, $8 million contract that he announced on X. At 41 years old, James enters his 24th NBA season after parting ways with the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this summer. 


His decision marks another chapter in a career that began as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2003 draft and has long fueled debates about his place among the greatest players in basketball history.


James’s journey has been defined by bold moves and historic triumphs. After seven seasons in Cleveland, he joined the Miami Heat in 2010, sparking controversy but also launching a run of eight straight Finals appearances. 


He captured back‑to‑back titles in 2012 and 2013 before returning to the Cavaliers, where he delivered the franchise’s first championship in 2016 by overcoming a 3‑1 deficit against the record‑setting Golden State Warriors. 


Later, his move to Los Angeles in 2018 brought another milestone: in 2020, he became the first player to win Finals MVP with three different teams, guiding the Lakers to a bubble‑era championship.


Despite ups and downs in recent years, James’s résumé remains unmatched. He is a four‑time champion, four‑time MVP, 22‑time All‑Star, and the NBA’s all‑time leading scorer, with three Olympic gold medals to his name. 


Last season, he averaged 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 7.2 assists across 60 games his lowest scoring mark since his rookie year, yet still a testament to his longevity. 


With career averages of 26.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 7.4 assists, James arrives in Philadelphia as one of the most decorated athletes in sports, ready to add another chapter to his extraordinary legacy.
