 Set designer Mary Kate Golding found dead in Queens home as police investigate possible murder-suicide Police are investigating the deaths of television set designer Mary Kate Golding and her husband after the 34-year-old was found fatally stabbed inside her Queens home. According to the New York Police Department, officers responded shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 21, to a residence in Astoria, where they found Golding with a fatal stab wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Several hours later, at about 6:39 a.m., officers responded to a separate 911 call reporting an unconscious person near Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard. Police found an unresponsive man in the park, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An NYPD source identified the man as Joseph Azzaretto, Golding's husband.  More than 100 people hospitalised, 150 homes damaged in Algeria fires


More than 100 people were hospitalised after wildfires reached nearly 150 homes in a small town in north-eastern Algeria, the country's interior minister said.


The fires broke out on Tuesday in Seraidi, a town west of the city of Annaba surrounded by forests.


Interior Minister Said Sayoud told reporters at a local hospital that most of the hospitalised people were in a "stable and reassuring" condition, adding that more than 150 homes had been affected by the fires.


Algeria has been grappling with hundreds of wildfires for days, with at least six people dead in several provinces, according to the interior ministry.


A court in Algiers said on Wednesday that four people had been placed in pre-trial detention for "setting fires within forest areas" around northeastern Algeria's Constantine province.
