NDPC LAUNCHES FORENSIC DATA PRIVACY INVESTIGATION INTO UNILAG, LOTUS BANK, AND HACKERBELLA The Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) is investigating the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Lotus Bank, and Hackerbella Ltd.  Morocco 3‑0 Canada: First African team in consecutive World Cup quarter‑finals

Morocco became the first team to reach the 2026 World Cup quarter‑finals after a commanding 3–0 victory over co‑hosts Canada in Houston.

The match was fiery early on, setting a record with six yellow cards in the first half, and Morocco lost top scorer Ismael Saibari to injury.

Despite Canada’s dominance in possession, goalkeeper Yassine Bounou kept them at bay.

Azzedine Ounahi broke the deadlock in the 50th minute with a clever set‑piece strike, then doubled the lead on a counter‑attack in the 82nd. Soufiane Rahimi sealed the win deep into stoppage time.

The result extends Morocco’s unbeaten run and makes them the first African nation to reach consecutive World Cup quarter‑finals

Canada, meanwhile, became the first co‑host eliminated from the expanded tournament, though local media praised their spirited campaign.

Morocco now heads to New England for a July 9 quarter‑final against the winner of France vs Paraguay.
