 Abia Governor Otti Approves First Phase of Medical Bills for Veteran Actress Ngozi Nwosu Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti has approved payment for the first phase of medical bills for Abia-born Nollywood veteran Ngozi Nwosu as she continues to battle health challenges. The intervention was announced by Dr. Justice Okey Martins (popularly known as JMartins), Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment to the Governor. Martins expressed gratitude to Otti for the timely support and appealed to Nigerians to continue assisting the actress. According to Martins, the Governor’s approval covers only the initial portion of Nwosu’s medical expenses. Further financial assistance remains necessary to ensure she receives the full care required.  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS WASIU OLANREWAJU-SMART AS SPECIAL ADVISER ON NATIONAL ASSEMBLY MATTERS


President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Wasiu Olanrewaju-Smart as Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters, House of Representatives.


A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, says Olanrewaju-Smart replaces Ibrahim Olanrewaju, who resigned to contest an elective position in his home state.


The statement describes the new appointee as an accomplished scholar and public policy expert with academic qualifications from Lead City University, Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the London School of Public Relations.


It adds that Olanrewaju-Smart has extensive legislative experience, having served in various capacities in the House of Representatives, including as Chief of Staff to the Speaker in the 9th and 10th Assemblies, before joining the Presidency in October 2023 as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Intergovernmental Affairs.


According to the statement, President Tinubu is confident that the new Special Adviser will deploy his experience and expertise to strengthen legislative coordination and enhance relations between the Presidency, Ministries, Departments and Agencies, and the House of Representatives.

The appointment takes immediate effect.
