 Anambra Volleyball Association Screens Players for National Intermediate Games Writing

‎The Anambra State Volleyball Association has conducted a screening exercise to select male and female players who will represent the state at the forthcoming National Intermediate Games. 

‎

‎The screening exercise, held on August 12 at the Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, was designed to identify talented players capable of representing Anambra at the national competition.

‎

‎Speaking during the exercise, the Vice Chairman of the Anambra State Volleyball Association, Mr Udoka Ugochukwu, explained that the competition provides an opportunity for the players to showcase their skills and compete for selection. 

‎

‎He noted that the players’ overall performance was slightly above average, attributing the outcome to the different levels of training and techniques imparted by their individual coaches.

‎

‎The Secretary of the association, Mrs Helen Ezeadim, described the screening as a welcome initiative, noting that it would help the players develop their practical skills and gain valuable competitive experience. 

‎

‎She urged the players not to be discouraged if they were not selected, stressing that every participant had an opportunity to learn and improve.

‎

‎Some of the female players, Chinweokwu Ugodulunwa and Ghansah Chidimma, described the exercise as a good opportunity to demonstrate their physical fitness and volleyball skills. Omenka Ifechukwu, a male participant, said the game was enjoyable and expressed optimism about emerging victorious.

‎

‎Chukwudumeme Success, another player, commended the coaches for conducting the screening professionally and tactfully. He also advised fellow players to remain disciplined and avoid unnecessary anger while on the court.
