  Four rapes rock California college in the first three weeks of semester Four rapes have been reported at Cal State San Marcos since the start of September, with each incident involving people who knew one another, according to the university. The reports were made on four separate dates and involved three locations: The Quad on Sept. 5 and Sept. 18, University Village Apartments on Sept. 6 and Black Oak Hall on Sept. 13. Jerry McCormick, a spokesperson for Cal State San Marcos, confirmed the reports to the California Post and said the four incidents are not believed to be connected. In each case, McCormick said, the individuals involved knew one another. “Sexual assault is never acceptable and is never the survivor’s fault.  Commandant General NSCDC Audi In Osogbo Assesses Security Preparedness Ahead  Of Saturday's Osun Governorship Election


The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has paid an official operational visit to Osun State to assess security preparedness and ensure seamless coordination ahead of the forthcoming election.


In a statement signed by the NSCDC's Public Relations Officer, Assistant Commandant of Corps, Babawale Afolabi, indicated that during the visit, the CG met with the Chief Security Officer of the state, the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke


He reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to ensuring a peaceful, free, fair, and credible election, while working tirelessly to protect critical national assets and infrastructure, through close collaboration with sister security agencies.


Governor Ademola Adeleke commended the CG for making the operational trip in person and lauded the NSCDC for its steadfast protection of critical national assets and infrastructure across the state.


The CG also visited the INEC State Headquarters where he met with the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Babalola, assuring the Commission of full operational support and issued a stern warning to potential vandals.


At the NSCDC Osun State Command headquarters, the CG reminded officers and personnel of the Corps' role in national security, warning them against being trigger-happy and stressing strict compliance with the rules of engagement.
