 Angel Reese sets WNBA rebounding record with 26 boards, breaks season mark in same game   Angel Reese made WNBA history twice in the Atlanta Dream’s 78-71 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks on Monday, setting a league record for rebounds in a single game while also establishing a new season mark. Reese grabbed 26 rebounds, surpassing the previous WNBA record of 24 set by Chamique Holdsclaw in 2003. The performance also moved Reese’s season total to 458 rebounds, seven more than A’ja Wilson’s previous record of 451 set in 2024. Despite struggling offensively, Reese finished with 11 points and secured her league-leading 27th double-double of the season with a basket with 13.9 seconds remaining. She said her focus was on contributing wherever needed to help her team win.  FEDERAL GOVERNMENT UNVEILS ONE BILLION DOLLAR RENEWED HOPE SOCIAL PROTECTION PROGRAMME


About 7.6 million Nigerians are set to benefit from a one-billion-dollar Renewed Hope Social Protection Programme as the Federal Government unveils the Household Prosperity and Empowerment Social Protection Project, HOPE-SP, as a new pathway to poverty reduction in the country.


Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, while unveiling the initiative, says the Bola Tinubu administration is implementing far-reaching reforms to lay a solid foundation for sustainable growth and shared prosperity.

State House correspondent, Adeniyi Taiwo, reports that the initiative is designed to strengthen social protection, expand economic opportunities and empower vulnerable households across the country.
