 Jackson police say hanging death of mother of four was staged in drug case gone wrong  Jackson police say the death of 29-year-old Tasia Fortune, whose body was found hanging from a tree in early August, was a staged scene connected to what investigators believe was a drug-related case that went wrong. Police Chief RaShall Brackney said Monday that Fortune's death has been classified as a homicide and that investigators believe the scene was deliberately arranged to mislead authorities. Three men have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with Fortune's death: 51-year-old Jarques Ratliff, 25-year-old Earnest Lloyd Jr. and 45-year-old Eric Clark. Police said Fortune had a known association with the suspects. Ratliff pleaded not guilty at a Sept. 14 hearing. The legal warning demands an immediate retraction of what her representatives describe as defamatory and malicious statements posted across social media.

The escalation follows a highly publicized digital feud involving former signees of Dapper Music. Artists Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi, and T.I Blaze recently called out the record label's chief executive, Damilola "Dapper" Akinwunmi, over alleged unpaid royalties and a dispute involving approximately N1 billion in missing funds.

As the online argument intensified on X (formerly Twitter), Seyi Vibez targeted Hilda Baci, who is reportedly in a relationship with the music executive. The singer alleged that Dapper had diverted artists' catalog earnings to finance Baci's cosmetic procedures. Furthermore, he made disparaging remarks regarding her culinary business, claiming that her food "nearly killed" him.


The Legal Demands and Cease-and-Desist


In a swift response, Hilda Baci's legal counsel characterized the musician's assertions as calculated falsehoods aimed at tarnishing her professional reputation. The formal warning letter issued to Seyi Vibez outlines several strict directives:


• The immediate and permanent deletion of all defamatory publications, including posts, videos, comments, and reposts across all digital platforms.

• The publication of an unequivocal, prominent public apology and retraction across his active social media channels.

• A written commitment, to be delivered within three days, promising to cease and desist from publishing any further defamatory content regarding Baci.

The legal notice warns that failure to comply with these terms within the three-day ultimatum will leave the celebrity chef with no option but to pursue comprehensive civil litigation for libel and defamation of character.
