 Kaduna Resident Raises Alarm Over Nighttime Attack In Kaduna Community, Cautions Residents Against Dismissing Security Reports

A Kaduna resident, Bayei Deborah Joseph, has raised the alarm over a nighttime attack reportedly carried out at her sister-in-law’s residence in the Rimi area of Kamazo, Kaduna State.

According to Joseph, the attack occurred in the middle of the night, waking family members who immediately began making calls and seeking urgent security intervention.

Joseph said she took to social media while the attack was ongoing to call for immediate assistance. She stressed that her report was not based on hearsay or information obtained from social media, but on a firsthand experience involving her sister-in-law.

She said that despite her appeal for help, an individual responded to her post questioning whether she had evidence and cautioning others against spreading “rumours.”

Joseph said she has since presented evidence of the incident, insisting that she does not ordinarily make posts of this nature and would not joke about matters involving people’s lives and safety.

She urged residents and members of the public to exercise caution before dismissing reports of security threats as rumours simply because they do not have access to the same information.

“Sometimes, people are posting from first-hand experience,” she said.
