 LASG TRAINS ENGINEERS, HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICERS


In a bid to build a skilled, adaptable and productive workforce, the Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Establishments and Training, has commenced a dual job-specific training programme for Engineers and Human Resource Officers in the State Civil Service.


The training, which has over 200 participants in attendance, is designed to equip them with relevant knowledge and practical skills to effectively respond to emerging challenges in the workplace. The programme is being held concurrently at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).


The Engineering training programme  focused on the theme “Effective Engineering Solutions for Public Sector Challenges,” while the Human Resource programme was on “Human Resource and Organisational Management.”


Whilst declaring the programme open, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Establishments and Training, Dr. Olubusola Abidakun, encouraged participants to make the most of the opportunity by actively engaging in the sessions, acquiring new knowledge and sharing experiences.


She also urged the participants to take time to relax and enjoy the learning experience, noting that effective training should provide not only opportunities for professional development but also an avenue for participants to refresh, connect and exchange ideas.


Dr. Abidakun commended the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for his commitment to continuous capacity development and his efforts towards strengthening a competent, efficient and future-ready public service.


One of the resource persons at the capacity building event, Engr. Abiola Kosegbe, an erstwhile Permanent Secretary in the Lagos State Government, commended the commitment of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's administration to human capital development


She lectured on some of the  challenges affecting


Effective Engineering Solutions for Public Sector Challenges and proffered workable solutions as well
