Terrifying new dashcam footage shows moment doomed NBC helicopter falls out of the sky The terrifying moment an NBC helicopter fell out of the sky and plunged into the ground near where an SUV had slammed into a Metro bus was caught on dashcam. The video, obtained by KTLA, shows the helicopter descending, caught from afar on the vehicle camera of Yera Valencia. She said: “I downloaded the video of my dashcam. It’s a little dot on the video. It’s a crisp video and it just goes down.” She added: “God, it’s so close, it could have happened to anyone. My parents walk down the street.” The two back-to-back Tuesday night crashes resulted in five deaths — two involving the bus and SUV, and three as a result of the chopper going down, killing reporter Eliana Moreno, pilot George Marciniw and pedestrian Edy Gutierrez Mejia.

 LASODA EMPOWERS 150 PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES WITH CAC BUSINESS REGISTRATION, ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING


The Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA) has empowered 150 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) by facilitating the registration of their businesses with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and providing enterprise development training to strengthen disability-owned businesses across Lagos State.


The empowerment programme, themed "Beyond Limits: Building Sustainable and Compliant Enterprises," was held on Monday at the STO Resource Centre Hall, Alausa, Ikeja.


Speaking at the event, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Pharm. (Mrs.) Oluwatoyin Oke-Osayintolu, said the initiative reflects the Lagos State Government's commitment to promoting economic inclusion and entrepreneurship among Persons with Disabilities.


She said the programme was designed not only to register participants' businesses with the Corporate Affairs Commission but also to equip them with practical skills to improve the profitability and sustainability of their enterprises.


According to her, participants would receive training in entrepreneurial resilience, branding and digital visibility, financial literacy, bookkeeping and tax compliance to enable them to build resilient and compliant businesses.


Also speaking, the General Manager of LASODA, Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal, urged participants to embrace excellence as the foundation for building successful businesses.


She said attracting customers alone was not enough, noting that long-term business success depends on quality service delivery, innovation and the ability to retain customer confidence.


Oyetunde-Lawal advised participants to build structured businesses, strategically position their products and services, and remain committed to continuous improvement.


She said, "I am confident that entrepreneurs with disabilities will contribute meaningfully to the economic development and Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of Lagos State. I urge you all to remain resilient and determined to change the narrative through excellence."


Addressing the female participants, the General Manager encouraged women entrepreneurs to safeguard and grow their businesses through sound financial management, innovation and creativity, stressing that empowering women economically has positive effects on families and communities.


Facilitators at the training, Mr. Alani Lateef Adebayo and Mrs. Adetutu Adesanya Ijasan, took participants through practical sessions on branding, digital visibility, financial literacy, bookkeeping, tax compliance and other aspects of business development and regulatory compliance.


They also shared practical strategies to help participants build resilient, sustainable and competitive enterprises.


The initiative forms part of LASODA's efforts to promote economic independence, financial inclusion and equal opportunities for Persons with Disabilities through entrepreneurship, business formalisation and sustainable economic growth.
