Kim Kardashian Was Warned That Meeting Donald Trump Could End Her Career, But Her Response Was Unexpected! Kim Kardashian wasn't willing to let public opinion stop her from fighting for people behind bars. According to revelations in the new book Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future by Jonathan Van Meter, Kim faced serious warnings from people around her when she planned to visit the White House to meet President Donald Trump and advocate for prisoners. At the time, some people reportedly told her that meeting Trump could ruin her reputation and end her career. But Kim wasn't interested in protecting her image at the expense of someone else's freedom. She reportedly responded: "It's my reputation over someone's life? Weigh that out." Her efforts eventually helped Alice Marie Johnson, a woman who had spent 22 years in prison for a nonviolent drug offence, receive clemency from Trump in 2018.  Meta to Introduce Per-Message Fees for WhatsApp Business Platform in October 2026

Meta Announces New WhatsApp Business Platform Fees

Tech giant Meta has announced a significant shift in its monetization strategy for the WhatsApp Business Platform, formerly known as the WhatsApp Business API. Starting October 1, 2026, the company will introduce per-message charges for service and utility messages sent to customers. This update marks the end of certain free communication windows currently enjoyed by enterprises.

Who Will Be Impacted by the Pricing Changes?

The upcoming pricing policy specifically targets larger organizations that utilize the WhatsApp Business Platform to manage high-volume customer interactions. Among those heavily affected will be banks, fintech companies, e-commerce platforms, telecommunications operators, logistics firms, and major retailers who rely on the application for transaction alerts and customer support.

Importantly, the change will not affect everyday WhatsApp users or small business owners operating through the standard, free-to-use WhatsApp Business mobile application. Their daily communications will remain unchanged.

The End of Free Customer Service Windows

Under the existing framework, when a customer initiates contact, a 24-hour customer service window opens. During this period, businesses could previously send free-form replies and certain utility messages at no cost. Under the new guidelines, Meta will charge for every single message sent within this window.

According to developer documentation released by Meta, the new structure will apply to:

• Service Messages: Previously uncharged since November 1, 2024, these will now be billed on a per-message basis.

• Utility Messages: Incorporating payment confirmations, shipping updates, and transaction receipts, these have been free since July 1, 2025, but will now attract fees.

Compliance Deadlines and Estimated Costs

To avoid service disruptions, Meta has warned business partners and third-party Solution Providers to link a valid payment method to their accounts before the end of September 2026. If a business or integrator lacks a valid payment method by September 30, 2026, Meta will suspend the delivery of all outgoing service messages starting the following day.

While final costs may vary by region, early estimates offer a glimpse into the financial impact. For instance, in emerging markets like Nigeria, a chargeable utility or service message is expected to cost approximately $0.0101 (roughly ₦14). Marketing messages, which are already monetized, remain significantly more expensive at $0.062 (about ₦84) per message. These figures represent Meta's base fees; businesses using third-party software providers may face additional service charges.
