Participants of the Nigerian Air Force Type Rating Course (NAFTRAC) 01/26 at 041 Communications and Information Systems (CIS) Depot, Shasha, undertook technical visits to the Nigerian Army Signal School (NASS), Apapa, on 19 August 2026 and the Naval Dockyard, Lagos, on 20 August 2026.
The engagements provided participants with practical exposure to military communication systems, signal operations, naval communications and technical maintenance practices, bridging classroom instruction with real-world operational applications.
Beyond enhancing technical knowledge, the visits strengthened participants’ understanding of the capabilities and operational requirements of sister Services, fostering greater interoperability, professional exchange and readiness for joint operations.
The engagements align with the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke’s, key driver of Capability Development, which prioritises building a highly skilled and mission-ready force through continuous professional development, technical competence and effective inter-Service cooperation.
