Terrifying new dashcam footage shows moment doomed NBC helicopter falls out of the sky The terrifying moment an NBC helicopter fell out of the sky and plunged into the ground near where an SUV had slammed into a Metro bus was caught on dashcam. The video, obtained by KTLA, shows the helicopter descending, caught from afar on the vehicle camera of Yera Valencia. She said: “I downloaded the video of my dashcam. It’s a little dot on the video. It’s a crisp video and it just goes down.” She added: “God, it’s so close, it could have happened to anyone. My parents walk down the street.” The two back-to-back Tuesday night crashes resulted in five deaths — two involving the bus and SUV, and three as a result of the chopper going down, killing reporter Eliana Moreno, pilot George Marciniw and pedestrian Edy Gutierrez Mejia.

 NIGER STATE POLICE COMMAND ARRESTS 6 SUSPECTS LINKED TO INTER-STATE KIDNAPPING SYNDICATE


The Niger State Police Command says it has  arrested six suspects allegedly linked to an inter-state kidnapping syndicate operating along the Suleja and Kontagora axis, with links to Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi States.


In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, the suspects allegedly used private vehicles to offer unsuspecting passengers lifts before drugging and abducting them to hideouts in neighbouring states.


It adds, investigation followed the abduction of a woman and her baby in Suleja on February 7, 2026. According to the police, the kidnappers demanded 50 million naira and collected 9.5 million naira before the woman escaped.


It notes the suspects later used the abandoned phone and ATM card of the Suleja victim to demand another 10.5 million naira from a woman abducted in Shagari, Sokoto State, while travelling to Kontagora.


The suspects were arrested between July and August 2026. Police said assorted charms were also recovered from Abdullahi Sani in Zaria, who allegedly confessed to arranging the abduction of some of his clients through an alleged kingpin, Mustapha Yusuf.


Mustapha Yusuf, Jafar and Fatima remain at large, while the six suspects are in police custody for further investigation and prosecution. 


The Command  urges members of the public to remain vigilant and provide credible information to security agencies.
