 “We Don’t Want Violent Politics In Kaduna,” Group Tells Political Parties, Urges Them to Call Supporters To Order The Kaduna Peace Ambassadors Forum has called on political parties in Kaduna State to caution their supporters and prevent further violence following recent clashes involving members of major political parties in the state. The group said Kaduna had enjoyed relative peace for a long period and should not return to an era of violent politics. In a statement, the forum expressed concern that political disagreements and clashes in the past had sometimes escalated into religious conflicts, with consequences for communities across the state. It therefore called on security agencies to take appropriate measures to identify and hold accountable those responsible for the recent clashes, while strengthening preventive measures to avoid a recurrence.  NIGERIA CUSTOMS RECRUITS 3,852 CANDIDATES OUT 573,680 APPLICANTS


The Nigeria Customs Service has released the final list of successful candidates for its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise.


Out of 573,680 applicants, only 3,852 candidates secured places for the available positions.


In a news conference, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, said the painstaking nature of the recruitment process prolonged the exercise.


He said the overall selection ratio showed that only one candidate emerged from every 148 applicants.


He also disclosed that the Nigeria Customs Service's recruitment exercise will henceforth be conducted annually.
