 Hard Times Await  Illegal Miners as Olukoyede Bags MINILS’  Fellowship Award The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has vowed to intensify his crackdown on illegal mining by going after the financiers, mineral buyers, compromised public officials and other collaborators who profit from the illicit exploitation of Nigeria’s mineral resources.  Nollywood Actress Regina Chukwu Reacts After Being Denied Entry to Lateef and Mo Bimpe’s Triplets Thanksgiving


On Wednesday, the Lagos social scene was abuzz as colleagues and loved ones gathered for the highly anticipated thanksgiving ceremony of Nollywood stars Lateef Adedimeji and Oyebade Adebimpe (Mo Bimpe) to celebrate their triplets. However, what was meant to be a seamless celebration has sparked conversations online after actress Regina Chukwu was reportedly turned away at the venue's entrance.


Strict Security Protocols Bar Celebrity Guest


The exclusive event, managed by popular event planner Omobolale Gold, was strictly by invitation. Prior to the ceremony, organizers had emphasized that guests would only be granted entry upon presenting an official access card or wearing the designated event dress code, known as Aso Ebi.


Despite being a prominent and recognizable face in the Yoruba movie sector, Regina Chukwu apparently lacked the necessary access requirements on the day, leading security personnel at the gate to deny her entry. A video capturing the awkward encounter quickly went viral across various social media platforms, eliciting mixed reactions from fans and onlookers.


Regina Chukwu Promises to Address the Incident


Reacting to the viral video and the subsequent online chatter, the actress took to her official Instagram page on Thursday to break her silence. Rather than showing distress, Chukwu laughed off the situation and shifted the spotlight to her stunning outfit, while promising to tell her side of the story soon.


She wrote: "I am coming with a story time on what happened yesterday but first let's appreciate my glam team and their dedication."


Remaining upbeat, she added, "You can say anything but y'all will admit I look really good yesterday. My glam didn't come to play."


As fans eagerly await her promised detailed account, the incident highlights the increasingly strict security measures being adopted at high-profile celebrity events in Nigeria to control crowd numbers and maintain exclusivity.
