 Gehgeh Challenges VeryDarkMan: Accuses Activist of Targeting Davido Over Burna Boy Friendship and Political Stance Social media personality Gehgeh has publicly confronted activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), accusing him of treating music star Davido as an adversary due to his close ties with fellow artist Burna Boy. Gehgeh also questioned VDM's alleged threat to “wash down” Davido if the singer continued to comment on Nigerian politics. In a recent video, Gehgeh advised VeryDarkMan to cease his perceived attacks on Davido regarding his political affiliations. He argued that Davido, like any other Nigerian citizen, possesses the fundamental right to support any political candidate of his choice without facing intimidation. POLICE ARREST 19-YEAR-OLD WOMAN FOR ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER OF HUSBAND BY POISONING IN BAUCHI


The Bauchi State Police Command wishes to inform the general public of the arrest of Aisha Musa, a 19-years-old housewife, for allegedly attempting to poison her husband, name withheld, in Gwamma Village, Bauchi Local Government Area.


Accordingly, on 12th August, 2026 at about 1515hrs, the suspect, who is said to be a bride of about 40 days, allegedly introduced a poisonous substance into her husband’s meal.


Subsequently, at about 1940hrs on the same day, a distress call was received from anonymous lady residing at Wunti Dada Area, Bauchi, reporting the incident to the Police.


In a swift response, operatives of 'C' Division Tafawa Balewa Estate mobilized to the scene. Thereafter, the victim was immediately evacuated and rushed to the *

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, where he is currently receiving medical treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.


Furthermore, the suspect was promptly apprehended. During interrogation, she was cautioned and voluntarily made a confessional statement admitting to the commission of the offence.


In addition, an empty bottle suspected to contain poison and remnants of the food were recovered and duly registered as exhibits.


Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+), has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), for discreet and thorough investigation. The suspect will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.


The Command therefore reiterates its unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property, and to the enforcement of law and order across the State. Members of the public are equally urged to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the nearest Police Station.
