 Netflix announces new Sesame Street movie as long-running children’s show continues “Sesame Street” is heading to the big screen with a new movie in development at Netflix. The streaming service announced Thursday that it is developing the film in partnership with Rideback and Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization behind the long-running children’s series. The announcement comes as Netflix renews its agreement with Sesame Workshop for Season 62 of “Sesame Street.” Additional episodes from Season 57 are scheduled to arrive on Netflix in late November. The movie is part of Netflix’s broader effort to expand its preschool programming with new series, films and games featuring familiar characters and educational content. “Sesame Street” first premiered on Nov. 10, 1969, and features Jim Henson’s Muppets. POLICE ARREST 19-YEAR-OLD WOMAN FOR ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER OF HUSBAND BY POISONING IN BAUCHI


The Bauchi State Police Command wishes to inform the general public of the arrest of Aisha Musa, a 19-years-old housewife, for allegedly attempting to poison her husband, name withheld, in Gwamma Village, Bauchi Local Government Area.


Accordingly, on 12th August, 2026 at about 1515hrs, the suspect, who is said to be a bride of about 40 days, allegedly introduced a poisonous substance into her husband’s meal.


Subsequently, at about 1940hrs on the same day, a distress call was received from anonymous lady residing at Wunti Dada Area, Bauchi, reporting the incident to the Police.


In a swift response, operatives of 'C' Division Tafawa Balewa Estate mobilized to the scene. Thereafter, the victim was immediately evacuated and rushed to the *

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, where he is currently receiving medical treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.


Furthermore, the suspect was promptly apprehended. During interrogation, she was cautioned and voluntarily made a confessional statement admitting to the commission of the offence.


In addition, an empty bottle suspected to contain poison and remnants of the food were recovered and duly registered as exhibits.


Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+), has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), for discreet and thorough investigation. The suspect will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.


The Command therefore reiterates its unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property, and to the enforcement of law and order across the State. Members of the public are equally urged to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the nearest Police Station.
