 Teresa Giudice’s daughter Gia begs Donald Trump to pardon her father as he remains deported: 'Trying everything we can'

Gia Giudice has continued to advocate for her father, Joe Giudice, who was deported to Italy in 2019 following his prison sentence. Speaking with Fox 5 New York, the Next Gen: NYC star revealed that her family recently submitted a humanitarian packet in hopes of securing a pardon from President Donald Trump. 

She emphasized that they are doing everything possible to reunite with Joe, noting that any child would want their father back home. Gia also mentioned that she plans to visit him soon in the Bahamas, where he is currently living, and assured fans that he is “doing great.”

Her latest push comes a year after she faced backlash for publicly asking Trump to intervene. In July 2025, inspired by Todd and Julie Chrisley’s pardons, Gia posted an emotional Instagram video in which she signed letters to the president, explaining that her family had been in “emotional limbo” since Joe’s deportation. 

She expressed hope that forgiveness and second chances could apply to her father as well. However, critics accused her of being tone‑deaf and privileged, pointing out that her family had the means to visit Joe abroad and the platform to appeal directly to the president.

Despite the criticism, Gia’s mother Teresa Giudice supported her daughter’s efforts, while Gia herself later apologized for the timing of her post, clarifying that she never intended to appear entitled. 

She explained on her podcast that her only motivation was to help her dad, who had also personally requested a pardon. Joe, who shares four daughters with Teresa, served 41 months in prison after pleading guilty to tax and fraud charges before his deportation.

 Gia has vowed to keep fighting for his return, framing her campaign as a daughter’s determination to restore her family.
