 LSPHCB, SCI COLLABORATE TO STRENGTHEN CHILD IMMUNISATION The Lagos State Primary Health Care Board (LSPHCB) hosted a high-level delegation from Save the Children International (SCI), led by Country Director, Mr. Duncan Harvey, during an official courtesy visit to the board on Thursday, 17th September 2026. The visit comes as part of Save the Children’s global leadership tour in Nigeria to evaluate the impact of the BOOST Project (Better Opportunities for Optimal Services and Targeted Immunisation for Zero-Dose and Under-Immunised Children) and to align on strategic priorities for child health across the state. Christian street evangelist Jesse Samuel Ngoma was reportedly detained by UK police during a public evangelism encounter. A video of the incident has since gone viral online.


Ngoma is well known for openly preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ in streets and public spaces across the UK. He often shares clips of his ministry on social media. This isn’t his first encounter with police and members of the public during his outreach.


The latest footage shows Ngoma surrounded by officers and being physically escorted away. As of now, the exact reason for the detention and whether any formal charges were filed have not been independently confirmed by reliable reports.


For many believers watching, the moment is a strong reminder of the courage it takes to publicly stand for faith in today’s world.
