 Nigerian makes US Most Wanted List over $1m fraud A Nigerian, Onoriode Ezewu, has been named on the United States Department of Labour’s first-ever Most Wanted List over allegations of money laundering involving fraudulent unemployment benefit claims worth more than $1m. The department’s Office of Inspector General unveiled the list on its website on Wednesday, naming 16 fugitives wanted in cases involving alleged fraud, identity theft, money laundering, labour trafficking and other offences. According to the agency, the cases collectively involve more than $55m allegedly stolen from American taxpayers.  TikTok creator Sydney Towle dies at 26 after sharing cancer journey with more than 1 million followers


Sydney Towle, a TikTok creator who shared her cancer journey with more than 1 million followers, has d!ed at the age of 26.


Her family announced the news on her social media accounts on August 6, saying she passed away on August 5. A tribute described Towle as a daughter, sister and friend who brought joy to many people.


Her older brother Austin Towle also shared the message on TikTok, calling her the “best sister ever.”


The announcement came two days after Austin revealed that Sydney had entered hospice care and was surrounded by family and friends.


Towle was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare bile duct cancer, at age 23. She later documented her experience online, sharing updates about surgeries, clinical trials and treatments as she continued living with the illness.


In May 2026, Towle posted videos from the hospital while receiving care for complications related to her condition. She later shared that her cancer had spread to the peritoneum, the lining of the abdomen and pelvis.


Her family and followers have continued sharing messages remembering her following the announcement of her passing.
