 NDLEA intercepts N3.4bn Loud, opioids, arrests fake police officer, mechanic-drug dealer _- Recovers over 1.3 million pills of opioids, 6,000kg skunk; nabs two teenagers with AK-47 rifles, pistol and ammunition in sweeps across Lagos, Edo, Niger, Delta, Abuja, Gombe, Imo and Ondo_  Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have intercepted over 1.3 million pills of tramadol and other opioids as well as 6,000 kilograms of potent strains of cannabis with a combined street value of more than N3,4 billion in a string of major operational breakthroughs across Lagos, Edo, Niger, Delta, Ondo, Gombe, Imo and FCT. Top on the line up of successful operations was the interception of 1,200 parcels of Canadian Loud, a synthetic strain of cannabis with a gross weight of 603.75 kilograms, valued at One Billion Eight Hundred and Eleven Million Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N1,811,250,0 00), and the arrest of a trafficker who impersonates as a senior police office...

 Trump administration removes Taylor Swift songs from White House social media videos after using her music

   

Taylor Swift's music has been removed from several social media videos posted by the Trump administration after her songs were previously used without her publicly endorsing the content.

In recent days, songs by the pop star that appeared in videos on Team Trump's TikTok accounts have disappeared or been replaced. One video that featured Swift's song "August" now uses a country song instead, although the original caption remains and references Swift's music.

Another post from November 2025 that included lyrics from Swift's "Father Figure" now displays a message saying the sound is unavailable. A separate post that parodied the cover of Swift's album "Red" also no longer includes music.

Swift has not publicly addressed the removal of her songs, and her representatives have not commented on the videos. Her fans, however, quickly noticed the changes and reacted online.

Swift is not the only major artist to object to having music associated with the Trump administration. Katy Perry, Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo have also publicly expressed opposition to the use of their music in connection with Trump or his political movement.

Swift endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris in September 2024. She said at the time that she was prompted in part by Trump's sharing of AI-generated images falsely suggesting she had endorsed him.

Trump responded by saying he preferred Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, to Swift.

Trump had previously said he was not a Swift fan, although he praised the singer in 2012, calling her "terrific."
