 Anambra Govt Warns Against Purchase of Encroached Land at Trans-Nkissi By MaryAnn Chukwuma The Anambra State Ministry of Lands has warned members of the public against purchasing plots at TransNkissi Phase 1, behind the Federal Government Girls College, Onitsha, from persons claiming ownership on behalf of the Umuosodi family of Onitsha. The warning was contained in a public notice dated Sept. 28, 2026, with Ref. No. PS/ML/2026/CR/VOL.II/028 and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Nkeiru Mokwe, for the Commissioner. According to the notice, the Ministry became aware that persons alleged to be members of the Umuosodi family had invaded and commenced clearing portions of the land with the intention of selling them to unsuspecting members of the public. It said compensatory plots had been allocated to the family and other families in Onitsha before the current administration. Umahi’s son elected Ohaozara LGA chairman, pledges not to collect salary

Osborn Nweze Umahi, son of the Minister of Works, David Umahi, has been elected chairman of Ohaozara Local Government Area in Ebonyi State.


The 28-year-old contested the local government election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He secured victory after a campaign focused on grassroots mobilisation, economic development and improved local administration.


Shortly after being declared the winner, Umahi announced that he would not collect any salary or allowances throughout his tenure. He said the decision was driven by a desire to channel local government resources toward development rather than personal financial benefits.


Umahi also pledged to prioritise infrastructure, youth empowerment, economic opportunities and improved service delivery across Ohaozara.


During the campaign, the son of the state’s former governor presented himself as a representative of a younger generation of politicians. He promised to introduce private-sector ideas, efficiency and innovation into local government administration.


According to him, strengthening grassroots governance is essential to addressing the economic and social challenges facing residents of the area.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
