 17 Reportedly Affected In Attack On Janwuria, Gidan Sulesule Communities In Kajuru

Seventeen residents have been listed as victims or casualties following a reported armed attack on Janwuria and Gidan Sulesule communities in Buda Ward, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday, September 20, 2026, according to a preliminary security incident report received from the affected area.

The report alleged that the attack was carried out by armed assailants and affected residents of the two communities.

The 17 persons listed in the preliminary report are:

1. Salami Danfari — 46 years

2. Danjuma Liko — 35 years

3. Rahab Daniel — 25 years

4. Abo Musa — 52 years

5. Samaritan — 27 years

6. Israel Abo — 17 years

7. Ahmadu Micah — 27 years

8. Maryamu Ahmadu — 21 years

9. Boyi Musa — 52 years

10. Ahada Boyi — 19 years

11. Azumi — 14 years

12. Na’Allah — 24 years

13. Asabe Na’Allah — 21 years

14. Emmanuel Kujama — 21 years

15. Rahab Jesse — 19 years

16. Jummai Jesse — 24 years

17. James Jesse — 2 years

The report, however, stated that the names and details are preliminary and require further verification to establish the exact status of those listed, as well as determine whether there were additional casualties, missing persons, property damage or displacement.

It also called for urgent attention from relevant security and government authorities, including a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The report further recommended strengthened security measures in Janwuria, Gidan Sulesule, Buda Ward and neighbouring communities to protect residents and prevent further attacks.
