British Actor Noel Clarke Charged With Six Sexual Offences Involving Five Women

British actor and filmmaker Noel Clarke, 50, has been charged with six sexual offences involving five women following an investigation by London’s Metropolitan Police.

The Crown Prosecution Service authorised the charges on Wednesday after detectives submitted a file of evidence for a charging decision.

Clarke faces two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure. The alleged offences are said to have occurred between 2007 and 2016.

Police said the investigation began in September 2025, with Clarke arrested on September 25 before detectives continued gathering evidence for prosecutors.

Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney, who is leading the investigation, said the women connected to the charges were receiving support from specially trained officers. He also urged anyone who believes they have been a victim of sexual assault to contact police.

The CPS said prosecutors had determined that there was sufficient evidence to prosecute Clarke and that taking the case to court was in the public interest.

Authorities have also warned against public commentary that could prejudice the proceedings, stressing that Clarke is entitled to a fair trial.

Clarke is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on October 21, 2026.

The charges come after years of allegations surrounding the actor. In 2021, allegations of sexual misconduct involving several women were publicly reported, allegations Clarke denied. He later brought a libel case against The Guardian but lost the case in 2025.

Clarke, who is known for writing and starring in Kidulthood and for his role in Doctor Who, was also arrested in February 2026 in connection with allegations including attempted rape, exposure and sexual assault by touching relating to a 2007 incident.

The latest charges have not been proven in court.
