‘Temper justice with mercy’ – NANS appeals to Madonna University to pardon viral Gen Z nursing students The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has appealed to the management of Madonna University to reconsider the expulsion of some nursing students over their involvement in a trending social media video recorded within a hospital environment. In a statement signed by Dist. Comr. Akinteye Babatunde Afeez, GCNS, President of NANS, the students’ conduct was described as inappropriate and inconsistent with the standards expected of nursing students.  Carter Efe Dares Wizkid to Boxing Match, Claims 'Machala' Elevated Superstar's Career

Nigerian streamer and comedian Carter Efe has ignited a fiery debate within the Afrobeats community, publicly challenging superstar Wizkid to a boxing match while asserting that his 2022 viral hit 'Machala' played a pivotal role in boosting the music icon's global profile.

Speaking during a recent interview on Yanga FM, Efe made a compelling case for the impact of 'Machala', a track that gained immense traction and topped charts upon its release. He argued that the song not only brought him significant financial gain but also provided a substantial boost to Wizkid's brand, suggesting a symbiotic benefit from its widespread success.

The Controversial Challenge

The comedian didn't stop at making claims; he issued a direct and unconventional challenge to Wizkid. Carter Efe proposed a boxing bout, emphasizing that he sought no financial compensation for himself from the fight. In a surprising twist, he suggested that organizers could offer Wizkid a substantial sum, reportedly $1 million, just to participate, while he would compete without collecting a single naira.

Efe expressed unwavering confidence in his ability to emerge victorious and directly called out the 'Essence' hitmaker, stating his readiness to settle their perceived differences in the ring. His challenge stems from what he describes as a profound sense of disrespect and a lack of acknowledgment from Wizkid regarding 'Machala's' success and its connection to the superstar's image. According to Efe, once Wizkid allegedly chose not to recognize his contribution, he resolved to reciprocate the same energy.

Beyond the Boxing Ring: Other Controversies

This isn't the first time Carter Efe has found himself at the center of public disputes. In related news, the streamer was recently involved in a heated clash with fellow entertainer Speed Darlington at an event, ahead of another highly anticipated boxing match featuring different personalities.

Furthermore, Efe has faced accusations from other online personalities. A video circulated showing streamer Peller on his knees, pleading with fans to report and bring down Carter Efe’s TikTok account. Peller accused Efe of hindering the success of others, referencing alleged comments made by the comedian concerning another individual, Kolu, travelling abroad.

The latest call-out to Wizkid has predictably set social media ablaze, with fans on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) having a field day reacting to Carter Efe's audacious claims and the proposed boxing showdown.
