 TEAM LAGOS EMERGES TOP AT 23RD NATIONAL SPORTS FESTIVAL SOUTH WEST ELIMINATION Lagos State athletes proved their dominance in the South West by edging out regional competitors and emerging top in the five team events contested at the elimination series qualifier for the 23rd National Sports Festival later this year in Enugu. The elimination series featured team events in volleyball, basketball, football, beach volleyball, and cricket in male and female categories. While the team clinched only the female football ticket by topping their group, they showed dominance in three other sports by winning both the male and female tickets. Team Lagos took first position in the volleyball male and female categories. The male team defeated their counterparts from Ondo in the finals by 25-18, 24-26, 25-20, and 25-20, while the female team defeated Team Oyo by 25-18, 22-25, 28-26, 16-25, and 15-8.  Crypto billionaire says he paid $4.5M to marry glamorous Chinese actress. Now he wants it back after romance fizzled


Justin Sun, the billionaire founder of blockchain company Tron, is embroiled in a high‑profile legal dispute with actress Jing Tian and her family. Sun claims he transferred 30 million yuan (about $4.5 million) to Jing’s parents as a traditional marriage payment, but after their relationship collapsed, he filed a lawsuit to recover the money. 


He alleges that the romance ended when Jing’s side demanded $50 million tied to surrogacy plans in the U.S., a request he refused.


Jing, known for roles in The Great Wall and Pacific Rim Uprising, has not shared her full account but responded publicly by saying she had shown “poor judgment” in men and insisted she would “never sell my love for money.” 


She expressed faith in the legal system, adding that “justice and fairness will ultimately prevail.” 


Meanwhile, Sun complicated matters by posting a lengthy social media account of their relationship titled “My Girlfriend Jing Tian,” only to later add a disclaimer that parts of it were fictional, leaving some details impossible to verify.


The lawsuit itself is real, according to Sun’s lawyer, who confirmed that Jing and her parents are named defendants. 


Sun, whose fortune Forbes estimates at $8.5 billion, has a history of headline‑grabbing purchases, including $6.2 million for Maurizio Cattelan’s infamous banana artwork, $4.57 million for a charity lunch with Warren Buffett, and $28 million for a Blue Origin spaceflight seat.


 He has also faced scrutiny from regulators, with the SEC suing him in 2023 for alleged securities violations and market manipulation.
