 Nollywood Sets New Guiness World Record Black Market attracts 51,000 qualifying viewers at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, to claim the record for the largest audience at a single film screening. The record was achieved at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos, where 51,000 viewers watched the movie from the beginning to the end of the screening. The feat surpassed the previous record of 43,624 viewers, set in 2015 during a screening of the Filipino film Felix Manalo at the Philippine Arena. The Lagos event drew thousands of movie lovers, with the venue filled several hours before the main screening began. Organisers had targeted at least 50,000 simultaneous viewers as part of the record attempt. The Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, was among the dignitaries who attended the event, alongside personalities from the entertainment industry and government.  ‘I Dream of Jeannie’ actress Barbara Eden, 95, abruptly drops out of film festival


Actress Barbara Eden abruptly dropped out of appearing at the Cinecon Classic Film Festival due to a “sudden illness.”


“We’re sorry to share that, due to a sudden illness, Barbara Eden will no longer be able to appear in person at Cinecon tonight,” event organizers announced on Facebook Saturday.


“Barbara is deeply regretful that she had to cancel at the last minute, as she had been very much looking forward to seeing everyone and celebrating with us,” the Cinecon 62 Classic Film Festival team continued.


We know how many of you were excited to welcome Barbara. We appreciate your understanding and join you in sending her our best wishes for a speedy recovery,” they concluded.


Though the “I Dream of Jeannie” star, 95, won’t be at the event, the film festival said they will still honor her, as she was set to receive the Cinecon Legacy Award.


Eden’s co-star Pat Boone accepted the award on the actress’ behalf. Both Eden and Boone, 92, starred together in “All Hands on Deck” and “The Yellow Canary.”


It’s unclear what illness Eden is currently battling.
