 KADGIS To Introduce Land Agents Registration To Tackle Property Fraud The Kaduna State Geographic Information Service (KADGIS) has announced plans to introduce a registration system for land agents as part of efforts to improve accountability and reduce property-related fraud in the state. The Director-General of KADGIS, Dr Bashir Ibrahim, disclosed this on Wednesday in Kaduna during a town hall meeting on the 2026 Land Administration Reforms. Ibrahim explained that the proposed system would require every land agent operating in Kaduna State to obtain a unique and non-transferable agent code. According to him, the code would make it easier for KADGIS to identify the agents involved in land transactions and determine responsibility whenever disputes or fraudulent activities occur. “Every agent must obtain an agent code. The political landscape in Lagos State is heating up as the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled a high-profile campaign council for the 2027 elections, featuring a powerful blend of entertainment industry giants. This strategic move aims to leverage the immense popularity of Nollywood actors and Fuji music stars, integrating them into the party's core campaign structure.


Among the prominent figures tapped for roles in the council, as revealed by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre and reported by The PUNCH and TVC News, are a host of beloved Nollywood personalities. Veteran actor Jide Kosoko leads the charge, alongside popular actresses Toyin Abraham, Eniola Badmus, Bimbo Akintola, Bukky Wright, Fathia Balogun, and Tayo Sobola. Esteemed actors Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), Saheed Balogun, and Yinka Quadri are also key inclusions, signaling a strong appeal to the creative economy.


The Fuji music community is equally well-represented, ensuring a broad cultural reach. Superstar musician Pasuma, alongside Obesere, Ayuba, Malaika, Osupa, and Small Doctor, have all been named in the campaign council. Their inclusion underscores the party's intent to connect with diverse demographics across the state.


Strategic Appointments in the Entertainment Directorate


Beyond mere celebrity endorsements, the Lagos APC has established a structured Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate within its campaign council, assigning specific leadership roles to some of these industry heavyweights:


• Toke Benson-Awoyinka is designated as the Director of the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate.

• Veteran actor Jide Kosoko will serve as the Co-Director, bringing his wealth of experience to the role.

• Actress Eniola Badmus has been appointed Deputy Director, further solidifying the active involvement of Nollywood stars in leadership positions.

• Akeem Alimi, widely known as Ajala Jalingo, takes on the role of Secretary for the directorate.

• Dare Olateju completes the core leadership team as the Assistant Secretary.

This directorate is one of several units under the broader campaign council, which is chaired by the incumbent Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, with Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat serving as Deputy Chairman. This comprehensive structure indicates a well-planned approach to the upcoming political contest.


The full campaign council is slated for inauguration on Friday, September 18, at the APC Secretariat located on ACME Road, Ikeja. This formal event will mark the official commencement of the party's elaborate campaign activities, as it gears up for the highly anticipated 2027 Lagos governorship election.
