Putin woos African leaders at showcase summit, says Russia is better partner than 'colonial' West President Vladimir Putin told African leaders on Wednesday that Russia was their best partner, accusing what he cast as a colonial West of still trying ‌to exploit the continent's resources and using debt to hold back development, Reuters reported. The Kremlin chief was speaking at the third Russia-Africa Summit in Moscow, a two-day event attended by African leaders and government delegations from 48 countries, during which he will hold one-on-one talks with many of the 22 individual African leaders attending on everything from trade to security, arms deals and grain supplies. "Africa is increasingly asserting itself as one of the key players in the global economy and politics.  Nigerian man who masturbated in front of woman on UK train bags 10 months jail term

The Manchester Magistrate Court on Monday, September 14, sentenced Nigerian man and registered sex offender, Babatunde Odutola, to 10 months in jail after exposing himself and mast#rbating in front of a woman on a train travelling towards Manchester.

Odutola, 36, of no fixed address, was arrested around 7pm on Friday, September 11, after harrassing the woman while on a train travelling through Cheshire towards Manchester Piccadilly railway station.

British Transport Police said Odutola approached the woman on the train, looked her up and down and became aggressive when she refused to engage with him.

The police said he then exposed himself while sitting in a wheelchair and began m@sturbating while staring at the woman and telling her to “come over”.

A fellow passenger intervened and escorted the distressed woman from the carriage.

The police said that CCTV footage showed Odutola continued masturbating as other passengers walked through the carriage.

British Transport Police officers arrested him after the train arrived at Manchester Piccadilly.

He was subsequently prosecuted and jailed within 72 hours of the incident.

Detective Constable Leonidas Christoforou of British Transport Police said Odutola’s behaviour had been “terrifying” for the victim, whom he allegedly singled out while she was travelling alone.

“He’s shown little remorse for his actions and denied the allegations against him during his police interview,” Christoforou said.

However, he said CCTV footage and witness accounts provided evidence against Odutola, who eventually pleaded guilty in court.
