 OTEDOLA BRIDGE, LAGOS TANKER FIRE PUT-OFF, TRAFFIC RESTORED Traffic flow along the Otedola Bridge corridor in Lagos has been restored following effort to put out  a fire involving a fallen tanker carrying thirty-three thousand litres of diesel. The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, confirmed that two adult males who sustained second- and third-degree burns in the incident were evacuated for further medical treatment. In a statement, the agency’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, said the fire was extinguished through the coordinated efforts of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, LASEMA Response Team, Federal Road Safety Corps, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority and Lagos State Ambulance Service. He added that the victims received immediate medical attention at the scene before being transported for further treatment.  NUJ Thrashes FRSC 7-1 in Anambra 2026 Press Week Novelty Match

‎The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council, on Sept. 7,  defeated the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) 7-1 in a novelty football match held at the Paul University Football Field, Awka. The match formed part of activities marking the 2026 Anambra NUJ Press Week, Coral Anniversary and Man of the Year Award Ceremony.

‎The NUJ side dominated proceedings, finding the back of the net seven times, while the FRSC team managed a consolation goal in the encounter. 

‎

‎Beyond the competition on the field, the match provided an opportunity for journalists and FRSC personnel to interact in a friendly sporting atmosphere, strengthening bonds of unity, friendship and cooperation between the two organisations.

‎

‎The 2026 Anambra NUJ Press Week is a weeklong programme featuring various activities aimed at celebrating journalists and their contributions to society, as well as recognising individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of the state and the nation.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
