 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES KWARA STATE GOVERNOR ABDULRAZAQ ON BEING TURBANED AS SARDAUNA OF ILORIN ON WEDNESDAY. 


President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on being conferred with the traditional title of Sardauna of Ilorin.


A statement by the Special Adviser to the President, Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga , says the title will be conferred on Governor AbdulRazaq by the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Kolapo Sulu-Gambari, in Ilorin on Wednesday, September 16.


It adds, President Tinubu describes the honour as a fitting recognition of Governor AbdulRazaq’s leadership, public service and contributions to the development of Kwara State, particularly his efforts to promote inclusive growth, social cohesion and the well-being of the people.


The President also commends the Emir of Ilorin for preserving the important role of traditional institutions in fostering harmony, supporting democratic governance and advancing sustainable development.


He urges Governor AbdulRazaq to embrace the title not only as a mark of honour, but also as a call to greater service and responsibility.


President Tinubu wishes the Governor continued success, wisdom, strength and good health as he assumes the responsibilities of the Sardauna of Ilorin. It concludes.
