LAWMA DECRIES CIRCULATION OF OLD VIDEOS AS CURRENT MUSHIN WASTE SITUATION … Says Mushin Is Clean Following Sustained Intervention The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has decried the circulation of old videos and images of waste in parts of Mushin as though they represent the current situation, describing the practice as misleading and likely to create a false impression of the area's waste situation. Speaking further on the development, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LAWMA, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, said that Mushin was clean as of today, following sustained direct intervention by the Authority over the past three weeks to address service delays in the area.  Saidi Balogun Praises Chief Imam of Ilaro for Returning N25m Entrusted to Him by Late Actor Ogogo

Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun has publicly lauded the Chief Imam of Ilaro for a rare act of financial integrity following the passing of veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo. The cleric surprised many when he returned a sum of N25 million left in his custody by the late actor.

During the funeral arrangements for Ogogo, the Chief Imam revealed that the deceased had entrusted him with the multi-million naira sum. The money was intended for the renovation of a local mosque and the actor's family house. Following Ogogo's demise, the cleric chose to make a public disclosure and returned the entire sum to the bereaved family.

The gesture has sparked widespread admiration, especially from Ogogo's colleagues in the film industry. Saidi Balogun took to social media to commend the Islamic leader, using the opportunity to reflect on the state of morality in modern society.

A Legacy of Unwavering Honesty

According to Saidi Balogun, the Chief Imam's recent display of honesty is not an isolated incident. The actor shared that the cleric has a history of upright behavior, particularly during his time serving as the Amir Hajj, where he led the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims to Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Balogun revealed that after the holy pilgrimage, the Imam meticulously calculated all expenditures and returned every kobo of the unspent state funds to the Ogun State government, rather than personalizing the resources.

Reflections on Morality and Faith

In his tribute, Balogun contrasted the Imam's exemplary conduct with what he described as a widespread decline in societal values. He urged the public to emulate such rare righteousness, emphasizing that true faith is demonstrated through actions and absolute integrity.

The passing of the iconic actor Taiwo Hassan 'Ogogo' has thrown the entertainment industry into mourning. As colleagues and fans gather for his final rites and Fidau prayers, the noble action of the Chief Imam of Ilaro serves as a comforting reminder of honor, trust, and the enduring legacy of the deceased.
