 OTEDOLA BRIDGE, LAGOS TANKER FIRE PUT-OFF, TRAFFIC RESTORED Traffic flow along the Otedola Bridge corridor in Lagos has been restored following effort to put out  a fire involving a fallen tanker carrying thirty-three thousand litres of diesel. The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, confirmed that two adult males who sustained second- and third-degree burns in the incident were evacuated for further medical treatment. In a statement, the agency’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, said the fire was extinguished through the coordinated efforts of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, LASEMA Response Team, Federal Road Safety Corps, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority and Lagos State Ambulance Service. He added that the victims received immediate medical attention at the scene before being transported for further treatment.  TROOPS OF OPERATION FANSAN YAMMA FOIL MASSIVE CATTLE RUSTLING IN KADUNA KADUNA STATE


Troops of Sector 1, Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, foiled a cattle rustling activity and recovered over 500 cattle during a swift response operation in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State on 8 September 2026.


Responding to the distress call from locals on cattle rustling activity at Rugar Mande Kurmin, troops swiftly mobilised to the suspected withdrawal routes of the terrorists and form blocking positions. Troops engaged the terrorists from multiple positions, forcing them to withdraw in disarray and abandon all the rustled cattle.


 Troops recovered all the rustled cattle and subsequently handed them over to their respective owners.


The successful operation further buttress the unwavering commitment of troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA to secure lives and property of the citizenry while disrupting criminal activities and denying criminal elements freedom of action across the Joint Operations Area. Operation FANSAN YAMMA urges the general public to continue to support security agencies with relevant information to enable the Theatre eradicate terrorist elements within the Joint Operations Area.
