A CHESTER, ILLINOIS MAN WAS RECENTLY ARRESTED AND CHARGED FOR CRIMES AGAINST AT LEAST ONE MINOR. WHEN HIS MUGSHOT WAS SHARED, WITH THE CHARGES INCLUDED, SEVERAL OTHER YOUNG LADIES CAME FORWARD AND TOLD THEIR STORIES. (PHOTO).
On Wednesday, September 30th, 17-year-old Xavier Nungarary ran from a classroom at Highland Park High School, where he had just endured multiple punches from a bully.
That terrible interaction was captured by cell phone video.
After fleeing the classroom, Xavier ran to a nearby 4th floor balcony and landed on the concrete below. Xavier did not survive the fall. Several students were present and watched the horrible scene play out.
Xavier was attending his senior year, and it is absolutely heartbreaking that he saw no future when it was so close at hand.
In the wake of the tragedy, Xavier's family has spoken up, sharing that Xavier was frequently bullied. Xavier's stepmother has shared that he was afraid to speak up because he thought he would get punished and not his bullies. Sadly, this is too common.
The LAPD says they are aware of the video captured only moments before Xavier jumped. However, they are saying there is no evidence of foul play.
The school provided mental health support for students the following day, and family and friends held a memorial for Xavier outside of the school.
Rest in peace, Xavier... Our thoughts are with everyone who loved Xavier.
