The Abia State Board of Internal Revenue Service (ABIRS) in partnership with Access Bank has officially rolled out its Market Digitalization Initiative aimed at modernizing revenue collection and enhancing transparency in markets across the state.

The rollout, which took place on Saturday at the Ariaria international market, Aba, was designed to identify and register traders, strengthen revenue collection, reduce leakages, and promote transparency and accountability.

Speaking on behalf of the Executive Chairman, the Secretary, Abia State Internal Revenue Service (ABIRS) Mrs.  Eke Bridget said the initiative will simplify payment processes for traders, ensure accountability, and boost the state's Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
